Learning Levels Curriculum
Our program uses a comprehensive and systematic approach of tracking students as they develop into well-rounded equestrians. Students work to master skills in each level, receiving recognition for completion when they are able to consistently demonstrate them.

Here at Carefree Equestrians, we believe unmounted skills are just as important as riding skills. The levels are divided into two areas of study to reflect this belief:

The Horsemanship Levels concentrate on the rider's ability in the saddle, developing a rider who is balanced, educated, confident, safe and above all kind and forgiving towards the horse.

The HorseSense Levels center on the seemingly endless knowledge needed to care for and work with horses, testing students on horse handling and stable management skills.
All Ages All Levels All Abilities All Welcome
Even the smallest horse lovers have a learning level just for them. The introductory level is full of age appropriate lessons and games to get them started in the horse world.
Students work through the step by step curriculum preparing for "level up" testing days with their instructor. There is no timeline. Students work at their own pace. Awards and recognition are shared and celebrated with fellow Carefree Equestrians.

Each level passed creates expanded privileges and opportunities
Barn Hours: Extra free time at the barn to practice unmounted skills, spend time with the horses and likeminded friends.
Shows: Opportunities to show or be a horse show groom
Rescue Horses: Help with the process of rehabilitating and training horses in need
