Jenny Snapp
Instructor/Owner

Jenny began riding desert bred Arabians as an 8 year old in Saudi Arabia, where she spent her childhood.  She rode these versatile and hardy horses in a variety of disciplines including jumper, cross-country, dressage, and gymkhana.  She also spent countless hours riding with friends in the wide open spaces of the Saudi desert.

Once back stateside, she was introduced to Western riding, including drill team, barrels, and western pleasure.  She never lost her love for the English disciplines however, and soon began concentrating more exclusively in Dressage.  She worked her way up the levels, ultimately competing at Prix St. George and schooling Grand Prix level.  She was helped along the way by many trainers and clinicians including Olympic medalists Christine Traurig and Hilda Gurney, and international competitor Patrick Burssens.

When Jenny moved to Texas in 2004, she learned about the sport of Combined Driving when she began riding horses for USA team driver, Mike McLennan.  She traveled with Mike and his team to Austria where he competed as a member of the USEF world pairs championship team.  She continued riding his horses and grooming at shows as he campaigned his four-in-hand team.  The team successfully competed at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.  Jenny went on to drive her own pair of Dutch Harness horses. Her current horse, PRE Rayo Oro drives but is focusing on his ridden dressage career.

While high level competition is exciting, what Jenny enjoys most is the day to day interaction with her horses and introducing and sharing that love with other riders.
