Lesson Program
Lessons at Carefree Equestrians are designed to develop a horse and rider team that work well together both in and out of the saddle.

Riders are instructed in the English riding discipline of dressage. Dressage is training that will help both horse and rider no matter what type of riding they are involved with. It emphasizes balance and harmony between horse and rider, enhancing the natural athleticism of horse, and creating a rider that is more aware of their effect on the horse.

Horsemanship is a priority. The care of the horse and responsibility for its well-being is taught to all riders. Handling a horse on the ground from simply leading and grooming, to lunging, ground driving, and long-lining are included in the lesson programs.

Lesson horses and ponies are available or you may haul in your own. Lessons are scheduled for one hour. Some of that time is spent learning to care for the horse on the ground, therefore the mounted time will vary depending on the objective for the day.
